In February 2019, NAU Athletics officially announced its plan to construct the Student-Athlete High Performance Center- a new on-campus facility designed to serve the academic and athletic needs of NAU’s 358 student-athletes. This comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility will sit adjacent to the Skydome and our practice field.
With the overwhelming support from University Leadership, a passionate vision from Vice President Mike Marlow, and the generous support of our Skyjacks members, the NAU Athletics Department is now launching a comprehensive fundraising initiative, which will only be made possible through private donations from fans, alumni and friends of NAU.
The Student-Athlete High Performance Center will include offices for NAU Athletics’ Academic and Student Services staff, individual and group meeting spaces, and a world class practice gym for our Men’s/Women’s Basketball and Volleyball Teams. The center’s proximity to the Skydome will centralize the NAU Athletics Department academic services with NAU’s coaching and administrative staff and allow student-athletes to optimize their academic and athletic priorities.
